WMKeeper is not connected to the server. Check your internet connection.

 

The possible reason is that WM Keeper cannot find the server through your internet connection.
This means that the port WebMoney Keeper uses (2802) is not available. It may be disabled either within your local network or by your ISP.
The necessary proxy and firewall setup instructions can be found in the corresponding section of the website.
If you use an office network, contact your system administrator.

Please ensure you can access the verification server on port 2802:

You can do this by going to the Windows Start menu>Run, where you type cmd and press ОK, (for Windows 98/Windows Me go to the Start menu>Programs>MS-DOS prompt) and then in the screen that appears input the following:

telnet (IP-address of the verification server) 2802 and press «ENTER».

 

If the connection is available, an empty screen will appear.

 


If the connection is not available, then the screen will display a failure message.

For example: telnet 212.118.48.75 2802

  • Try different addresses. If you cannot establish a connection, then the port is closed
  • Contact your ISP or system administrator and request that port 2802 be opened
  • Alternatively set up a proxy client
  • Or use WM Keeper LIGHT.

If the test returns a positive result (an empty black screen will appear), but the Keeper will not connect, then try the following: find the file named «hosts» (without extension). For WindowsNT/2000 it is located in System32/drivers/etc For Windows9x it is located in the Windows root directory. In Windows9x instead of hosts there may only be hosts.sam. In this situation create a file named hosts and copy the contents of hosts.sam into it.

Add the following at the end of the file:

If there is no «hosts» file, then create one and copy the adobe line into it.

 

If it does not solve the connection problem:

  • Try to reinstall the program
  • Check your firewall and proxy settings (if any) to make sure the port is not blocked
  • Contact your ISP (or system administrator) about restrictions on port 2802 (both incoming and outgoing restrictions, burst length, etc).
